Van Mannekus, jointly owned by Grecian Magnesite and TIMAB, produces and distributes magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide and other magnesium chemicals for a wide variety of applications in industrial, environmental and agricultural markets.

Van Mannekus is currently recruiting for its office in Schiedam (Netherlands) a Business Developer trainee.

6 months internship

Your role will be to actively participate in the development of our industrial activities, specifically in the abrasives paint and antiskid flooring sectors.

Relying on the knowledge and experience of our current sales team, your main responsibilities will be the following:

  • Conduct market research: collection of all the macro and micro information, collection of competitive intelligence previously identified by the management
  • Cold calling in order to start a business approach: source contacts, promote our products
  • Contact existing customers
  • Increase existing volumes along with the Area Sales Managers
  • Close new sales
  • Follow up the correct processing of a sale: offer, order, logistics quotes, etc.

Your Profile :

You are currently enrolled in your final year of university, majoring in international trade, business & administration, chemistry or engineering.

  • You have a strong sales temperament, you proved your ability to work in a team, and you are always driven by results.
  • Advance language skills in English are mandatory.
  • Prior experience (internship) in the industry is a plus.
